Antiga Casa Buenavista is a boutique hotel on Ronda de Sant Antoni, between Ciutat Vella and the Eixample, in the house where the family's popular Buenavista restaurant opened in 1918. Its 43 exterior rooms, some with a private balcony or terrace, keep encaustic tile floors, mouldings, glass screens and Catalan vaulted ceilings in a modernist style with an eclectic contemporary touch. Every room has a Nespresso machine, complimentary coffee and tea, bottled water and a Smart TV with Chromecast, from the Raval and Ronda rooms to the Gallery rooms on the quiet courtyard and the Superior Buenavista rooms with their own terrace. On the fifth floor an outdoor pool and a rooftop chill-out terrace look out over the city's skyline, with cocktails from the guests' bar. The Casa de Comidas serves a km 0 gourmet breakfast, brunch dishes, tapas and traditional Catalan cooking with a personal twist, and there is an honesty bar and a street terrace by Plaça Goya. Plaça de Catalunya, the MACBA and the Sant Antoni market are a few minutes away on foot, which makes it a refined base for couples and culture lovers.
