Casa Bonay is a boutique hotel in a lovingly restored 19th-century building on the Gran Via in the Eixample, founded in 2016 by Barcelona entrepreneur Inés Miró-Sans to bring glamour and authenticity back to the city's hotels. Its rooms balance past and present, with painstakingly restored hydraulic tile floors and antique fittings alongside modern pieces by award-winning local designers. Every room has fast free Wi-Fi, Malin+Goetz bathroom products, a minibar stocked by local producers and even a yoga mat, and some open onto a courtyard terrace. The building also houses a tapas restaurant, a speciality coffee shop, the Libertine cocktail bar and lounge, a rooftop terrace with a summer chiringuito and its own hi-fi listening room. On the roof, the Termas Bonay spa is a wild urban oasis with a hammam, sauna, hot tubs and breathwork and ice-bath sessions. A busy programme of culinary pop-ups, music and events makes it a meeting point for visitors and locals alike.
