About this hotel
Hostal Balkonis is a cosy, nicely designed hostal in the Eixample, right opposite the renewed Mercat de Sant Antoni, in an early 20th-century Barcelona building with elegant balconies over the street, renovated from its foundations. Passeig de Gràcia, La Rambla and Gaudí's architecture are within walking distance, with restaurants, bars, shops and galleries all around and metro, buses and taxis close by. Its rooms for two or three guests and for families all have a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, new air conditioning and comfortable mattresses; some open onto a balcony over the street, others onto a private terrace, while the economy rooms face inwards. The rooms were carefully finished with ecological materials and a strict selection of furnishings. A wide shared terrace with garden furniture, pergolas and plants is one of the hostal's highlights, and free Wi-Fi and free luggage storage on arrival and departure are included. The team at reception helps with any request and offers discounts for Barcelona's leading attractions.
