Hotel Granvia is a three-star hotel in a 19th-century palace at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 642, just steps from Passeig de Gràcia and Plaça de Catalunya. Built in 1870 as a bourgeois palace and once the home of the Serra-Chopitea family, it opened as a hotel in 1935 and keeps its façade, grand staircase and period halls. Fully renovated in 2013, it has 58 outward-facing rooms with period architectural details, from basic and classic rooms to superior rooms, a junior suite with a balcony over the Gran Via and family rooms for up to four guests. The elegant period lounge with a library and a business centre opens onto a 500 m² garden terrace with a solarium, Balinese beds and showers. A buffet breakfast is served every morning, and the Passeig de Gràcia metro station is a few minutes' walk away. The hotel suits couples, families and travellers who want a historic setting in the centre, close to Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.
