Hotel Nou Dalt Muntanya is a boutique hotel in the mountain village of Orient, in the heart of Mallorca's Serra de Tramuntana – a paradise for hikers, cyclists and events. The traditional stone house has green shutters, a terrace shaded by plants and cosy rooms with wooden furniture and mountain views. Its 3,000 m² garden has an 11 x 7 m pool, a spacious sun terrace, loungers and shady corners, and non-residents can enjoy it with a day pass. The Es Freu restaurant combines Mallorcan tradition with Austrian cuisine, from grilled octopus and slow-roasted suckling pig to Wiener Schnitzel and, in autumn, duck with dumplings or venison. Ingredients are regional and fresh, sourced as locally as possible, and the restaurant hosts jazz evenings, wine and gin tastings and Austrian weeks. Peace, nature and good food make the hotel a retreat for walkers, cyclists and couples, and a setting for weddings and celebrations.
