Palacio San Juan, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, is a five-star hotel in the historic centre of Murcia, set in the Floridablanca Palace, built at the end of the 18th century as the town residence of the Count of Floridablanca and overlooking the church and Plaza San Juan. Restored by the Murcian architect Jesús Zafra, it keeps its neoclassical façade while its interiors combine noble woods, marble and contemporary design. Its 70 rooms are divided into Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and Suites in warm tones of wood and orange, some with a private terrace, and connecting Junior Suites are available for families. The Ocra restaurant, led by chef Juanlu Fernández, holder of two Michelin stars, celebrates the produce of Murcia's market gardens, while breakfast is served at the Floridablanca Restaurant with views of the square. At the top, the Royal Heaven rooftop offers a pool, tapas and signature cocktails with views over the city, and the hotel also has a gym and two meeting rooms. It suits couples, families and business travellers looking for a luxurious base from which to explore Murcia on foot.
