About this hotel
Casas Rurales de Guayadeque are four cave houses on the Montaña de las Tierras, deep in the Barranco de Guayadeque, the ravine in the south-east of Gran Canaria that is reached from Ingenio or Agüimes. The caves have been carefully restored for rural tourism and blend into the mountainside along a walk with impressive views of the surrounding peaks, the lush vegetation and the sea. Each house has a bedroom with two beds, a kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and its own terrace, and some add a separate living room with a sofa bed and a flat-screen TV. The gardens and patios are tended with great care, and a small viewpoint with armchairs invites you to take in the grandeur of the landscape. Guests receive a discount at the Tagoror cave restaurant nearby, and longer stays of more than seven or fifteen nights are rewarded with lower prices. It is a retreat for those who want to feel nature, walk, read and enjoy an unhurried pace of life in one of the island's last troglodyte communities.
