Eurostars Laietana is a four-star hotel at Via Laietana 17, between the Gothic Quarter and El Born, in an elegant neoclassical building next to the Roman wall of ancient Barcino. Some of its 56 rooms look out over the remains of the Roman wall, so guests can see part of ancient Barcelona from the hotel itself. Rooms and suites are bright, with tall windows, light marble floors and padded headboards, and the suites add a sitting area with a sofa. A breakfast room and a lounge with a marble reception make up the ground floor, and breakfast is served every morning. Barcelona Cathedral, Plaça del Rei, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Picasso Museum and Portal de l'Àngel are all a short walk away. It suits couples on a city break or a weekend away who want to stay in one of Barcelona's most historic neighbourhoods.
