Hostal Fernando is a family-run budget hostal on Carrer de Ferran, in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, between La Rambla and Plaça de Sant Jaume with the city hall and the Palau de la Generalitat. Its recently renovated rooms come as singles, doubles, twins, superior doubles and triples, all with a private bathroom, air conditioning, a television, a safe and free Wi-Fi. Next door, the Albergue Fernando wing has rooms for up to four people and dormitories, ideal for families and groups of friends. Guests share several common areas, including a lounge with a kitchen for their own use, and a buffet breakfast is served in the morning. The reception is open around the clock, and the hostal's own restaurant serves paellas and tapas from 8 am to 11 pm.
