Hostal Radio is one of Barcelona's most traditional hostals, open all year on a quiet pedestrian street in El Raval, right in the city centre. Plaça de Catalunya and La Rambla are a few minutes away on foot, and buses and the metro connect it with the rest of the city. Its thirty-six double rooms all face outwards, with a window or a balcony, a double bed and a private bathroom with towels. Each has central heating, individual air conditioning, a telephone and a flat-screen TV, with daily cleaning, and a hairdryer is available at reception. The reception is open 24 hours and helps with parking, bike rental and tour guides, and there is Wi-Fi throughout, a lift, luggage storage, a wake-up service and drink machines. Next door to the legendary La Paloma dance hall, it suits couples who want an affordable base in the real Barcelona.
