Hotel Medinaceli is a four-star superior monument hotel set in the palace of the Dukes of Medinaceli on Plaça del Duc de Medinaceli, a few steps from Port Vell and the foot of La Rambla. The building was carefully restored in 2025, keeping its arcaded inner courtyard, its spiral staircase and its historic stonework alongside contemporary interiors. Interior and exterior doubles, singles and superior triples have warm natural tones, air conditioning, a safe, a mini fridge, a hairdryer and free Wi-Fi, and many look onto the square or the port. The rooftop has a plunge pool, sun loungers and views over the harbour, and the hotel's Oyster & Wine Bar and cocktail bar complete the evening. Paid private parking is available a few metres away, and the Gothic Quarter, the Columbus Monument and the waterfront are on the doorstep. It suits couples who want a historic palace with a seaside feel in the old town.
