About this hotel
Hotel REC Barcelona is an adults-only design hotel in El Born, in the historic La Ribera district, a few steps from the Arc de Triomf. It takes its name from the Rec Comtal, the canal that for centuries carried water across the neighbourhood to drive its mills and craftsmen's workshops. Local artists shaped its interiors, from a fifteen-metre mural on the ground floor to neon doors on every floor. The rooms are bright and modern, from Quiet REC and REC Life rooms to REC Life Terrace and XL rooms and the Life Corner Suite. On the seventh floor, the REC Lounge opens onto a terrace with a pool and a solarium overlooking Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera, with cocktails and tapas at sunset. Fismuler, a restaurant that made its name in Madrid with seasonal local produce, occupies the lower level, and the hotel suits couples and adults who want to explore the old town on foot.
