About this hotel
Hotel Sa Galera is a five-star country house hotel near Ca's Concos, in the south-east of Mallorca, on one of the seven fiefdoms into which King Jaume I divided the Kingdom of Majorca after the conquest. The estate once housed the island's most important cavalry corps, and its fertile fields were full of vineyards, almond and carob trees. Today it has more than 5,000 almond trees and one of the most important breeding centres for pure Majorcan horses. The Bonet-Company family, owners since 1850, personally restored the manor while keeping its original structure, creating sixteen rooms of individual character with beamed ceilings, four-poster beds and stone walls. A large pool with sun loungers is set among old olive trees, and a terrace restaurant serves Mallorcan and Mediterranean dishes. The quiet rural setting, close to the beaches and coves of Santanyí, suits couples looking for history and calm.
