Hotel Turin Barcelona is a family-run three-star hotel on Carrer del Pintor Fortuny, 100 metres from La Rambla and 300 metres from Plaça de Catalunya, founded in 1967 by José María Herrero and still run with the same personal touch. Its 60 rooms range from singles and doubles to a suite with its own terrace, a triple with a balcony and a quadruple for families, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning and heating, a 40-inch smart TV, a minibar, a safe, a hairdryer and free Wi-Fi. The breakfast buffet is stocked with fresh produce from the nearby Boqueria market, with fruit, cold meats, cheeses, local breads, homemade pastries, fresh juice, hot dishes and vegetarian options. On the first floor a small urban garden with wooden decking and greenery offers a quiet spot for breakfast or a break from the city bustle. Colourful Cow Parade sculptures decorated by local artists are scattered around the hotel, and the reception is open around the clock with daily cleaning and free lockers. The Gothic Quarter, El Raval and the Boqueria are a short walk away, which suits families, couples and city travellers who want a central, friendly base.
