Ikonik Ramblas is a four-star hotel at La Rambla 22-24, halfway between the Columbus Monument and the Liceu, opposite Plaça del Teatre on one of the boulevard's most artistic stretches. It occupies two historic buildings on the site of Barcelona's former medieval city walls, fully restored in a modern, fresh and minimalist style. The hotel pays tribute to La Rambla by dedicating each floor to one of the five stretches of the boulevard. Its 55 rooms all face outward and are soundproofed, with a modern bathroom, satellite TV and plenty of Mediterranean light, and some have a balcony over La Rambla. A buffet breakfast is served every morning, and a public car park is close by. The Gothic Quarter, El Raval, the Boqueria and the port are all on foot, which suits couples and city breakers who want to leave the car behind.
