Villas El Alto is a group of emblematic houses and holiday homes in traditional Canarian style in Fontanales, a village 1,000 metres above sea level in the uplands of Moya, in the north of Gran Canaria. The settlement grew up around the search for water to irrigate its farms, and lies near the Doramas Rural Park, 40 minutes from Las Palmas and an hour from the airport. The complex has a studio, one-bedroom apartments with a kitchen, heating, a flat-screen TV and mountain views, and larger houses for groups. The Casa Emblemática, one of the oldest buildings in Fontanales, has been fully renovated in rustic style and is divided into two houses with four and two bedrooms. Chalet Salvia offers three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, with views of the mountains, the village and the garden with a swimming pool. It suits families and groups looking for quiet, nature and fresh mountain air in a green corner of the island.
