Banana Garden La Palma is a small urban hotel in the historic centre of Santa Cruz de La Palma, the island's capital, inspired by the Canary banana and by local, conscious living. Its nine individually designed rooms are spread over five floors served by stairs and a lift, each with a private bathroom with rainfall shower and king-size beds in all but the single rooms. Superior, studio and double rooms have east-facing balconies over the quiet street, the old town or the Atlantic, and the studios add a small kitchen. A continental breakfast buffet with barista coffee is included in every rate, and the café-bar on the ground floor and the city's only rooftop serve local craft beer, wine and cocktails with views over the historic quarter. Rooms have free high-speed Wi-Fi, a 32-inch smart TV, a minibar and a coffee and tea corner, and guests can borrow beach sarongs and refill their bottles with filtered water at reception.
