Bungalows Velazquez is a recently renovated bungalow complex right on the shore in Puerto del Carmen, on Lanzarote, designed by the artist César Manrique so that it sits below the level of the Avenida de las Playas and blends into the coastline. Restaurants, pubs, nightclubs and the casino are a short walk away, while the complex itself stays quiet and relaxed. It offers one-bedroom and two-bedroom bungalows for couples and families and a Special Duplex Suite for up to five guests. Every unit has a modern kitchen with a ceramic hob, microwave, large fridge, coffee maker and toaster, air conditioning in all rooms, a TV, an iron, a safe for rent and a large furnished private terrace facing the sea, surrounded by a typical island garden. There are two heated pools, one for adults and one for children, the bungalows are cleaned daily with fresh towels every day, and reception is open in the morning and late afternoon with a night watchman after hours. It suits couples and families who want a self-catering stay by the sea in an architect-designed setting.
