Casa de Hilario is a small rural hotel set high above the village of Yaiza, in the south of Lanzarote, the closest place to stay to the heart of the volcanoes, six minutes from the Timanfaya National Park. From its terraces guests look out over the national park in all its colours, the village at dusk and the sun setting over the sea. The double rooms combine individual decoration with comfort, with Smart TV, a free safe and large premium beds for two adults. Of the two junior suites, one is in the style of César Manrique with an original fresco from 1979, a king-size bed and a Canarian patio with private loungers, and the other has a private terrace facing the national park, while the suite is a lookout with 360-degree views of the sea, Timanfaya and Yaiza and a huge private terrace with a chill-out area. Guests share an outdoor pool with a solarium, a terrace and a common lounge, and breakfast, private parking, free WiFi and excursions are available. It suits couples looking for a quiet, design-conscious retreat among the volcanoes, with the sister hotel La Casona de Yaiza just down in the village.
