El Guarapo is an independent boutique apartment resort in a quiet part of Costa Teguise, on Lanzarote, a few minutes' walk from beaches favoured by locals, built in 1987 and run by two generations of the Sanz Fuentes family. Its 40 refurbished apartment suites have one, two or three bedrooms, fresh and elegant interiors made with natural and re-purposed materials, fully equipped kitchens, walk-in showers and private outdoor spaces facing south. The 44 m² one-bedroom suites have a double or twin bed, the two-bedroom suites on the top floor have panoramic ocean views and a large sunny terrace, and the three-bedroom suite with two bathrooms looks out to the sunrise over the Atlantic. The gardens are planted with cacti, succulents and bougainvillea, around a pool with a pool bar serving cocktails. Breakfast, local baskets, car hire and airport transfers can be added, and dogs are welcome on request. It suits couples and families looking for a calm, personal stay with a small team that has looked after guests for decades.
