El Hotelito Del Cotillo is an intimate adults-only boutique guesthouse occupying a traditional Majorera house originally built in the 1920s in the heart of El Cotillo, a laid-back surf village on the northwest coast of Fuerteventura. The property was lovingly restored between 2017 and 2019 in a warm Moroccan Riad-inspired style, blending mosaic tile floors, handcrafted furnishings and earthy tones with the rustic charm of Canarian stone architecture. Just four individually designed double rooms — Agave, Bouganville, Cactus and Datiles — each named after the island's iconic flora, offer a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, flat-screen TV, personal safe, minibar and complimentary Wi-Fi. The rooftop terrace is the centrepiece of the experience, where guests can soak in a heated jacuzzi, take an outdoor shower and stretch out on sun loungers while watching the Atlantic sunset paint the sky over El Cotillo. The turquoise lagoon beaches of Los Lagos and the sweeping golden sands of Piedra Playa are both within a short walk, alongside a vibrant collection of seafood restaurants, local cafés, surf schools and the historic Torre del Tostón watchtower. El Cotillo's relaxed atmosphere and world-class surf breaks attract independent travellers, couples and anyone seeking an authentic Canarian coastal escape far from the large resort complexes. Free street parking is available near the property, and the rest of Fuerteventura — from the Corralejo dunes to the wild Cofete beach — is easily accessible by car.
