Hotel Beatriz Playa & Spa is a four-star hotel on the seafront promenade of Puerto del Carmen, right on Matagorda beach, two kilometres from Lanzarote airport. It is designed for family holidays, romantic breaks and spa stays, with spacious rooms of 32 m², most of them facing the sea, recently renovated superior rooms and 60 m² junior suites with a separate lounge. Pools and sun terraces lie between palm gardens and the ocean, and the lobby opens onto indoor waterfalls and ponds. The main buffet restaurant serves show cooking and themed dinners, joined by the Asian buffet Bamboo, a pizzeria, a burger bar, the poolside restaurant Davao and bars with live shows in the evening. The spa, designed by architect Tomás Alía, has a hydrothermal pool with jets, waterfalls and microbubble beds, a jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath and treatment rooms. Children have a kids club, a play area and mini golf, which makes the hotel a good fit for families as well as couples looking for a beachfront stay.
