Seaside Palm Beach is a five-star design hotel in Maspalomas, in the south of Gran Canaria, set in an extensive palm grove by the sea, beside the nature reserve of the Maspalomas dunes. Its curved 1970s Miami-style façade is an icon of the island, and the retro interiors by designer Alberto Pinto have earned it a place among Design Hotels. The pools lie in the palm garden, where the African Bar serves drinks and local tapas such as papas arrugadas between the trees. Dining ranges from the main restaurant and the gourmet restaurant Esencia to the Canarian tavern La Bodega, and the spa offers treatments, sauna and a steam room. Tennis, tai chi in the garden, barbecues under the palms and a kids club fill the days, and the beach and the dunes are just a short walk away.
