SOL Barbacan is a four-star apartment and bungalow complex in Playa del Inglés, in the south of Gran Canaria, half a kilometre from the town centre and a kilometre and a half from the beach. Its spacious, modern one-bedroom apartments of 47 m² have a lounge with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace of 15 m², many of them overlooking the pool, and the bungalows stand among large, manicured gardens. Three large swimming pools with sun terraces form an oasis in the volcanic landscape of the south. The El Portalón restaurant is one of the best known in the area, and the complex adds a poolside bar and a well-equipped gym. An extensive programme of activities and games entertains the whole family, and children have their own play areas. Bars, restaurants and shops are within walking distance and four golf courses lie nearby, which makes SOL Barbacan a practical base for families and friends who want space of their own.
