Playa de la Arena is a charming coastal resort on the western shore of Tenerife, nestled between the dramatic cliffs of Los Gigantes to the north and the fishing village of Alcala to the south. The resort takes its name from its stunning Blue Flag beach, one of the finest on the island, featuring natural black volcanic sand formed thousands of years ago by lava flows from the Teide-Pico Viejo volcanic complex.
