About this hotel
Cactus Host is a small guesthouse-style hostel on Calle Doctor Miguel Rosas in the port district of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a two-minute walk from Las Canteras beach and next to Santa Catalina Park. Behind its green façade with painted cacti, the house has been decorated and largely handcrafted by its owners. Private double rooms and suites come with a private TV, some with an en-suite shower and shared toilet or with shared bathrooms. Guests share fully equipped kitchens and a rooftop terrace with an open-air dining area, loungers, hammocks, a barbecue and free washing machines. The hosts work on the ground floor, welcome everyone personally and help plan surf sessions at La Cícer or excursions around the island. Restaurants, supermarkets, a surf school and the main bus station are all close by, so no car is needed in the city.
