Casa Calma Yoga Guesthouse is an old single-storey Canarian house in the centre of Agaete, in the north-west of Gran Canaria, fully renovated into a welcoming home for travellers. Its private double rooms carry local names: Guayedra, a former herbalist's shop with high pine ceilings, Tabaiba with a desk and an optional extra bed, and Tamadaba, a bright wooden room on the terrace with a private balcony facing the Tamadaba Natural Park and the church of Agaete. Calima is a shared six-bed dorm where every bed has its own light, a curtain and a locker. The large roof terrace has a platform for yoga and meditation classes, hammocks and a sunny corner for breakfast, and guests share a kitchen where tea and coffee are provided. The hosts organise yoga, reiki and live music and point guests to hiking routes, climbing, diving and quiet corners of the island far from mass tourism.
