Finca Las Longueras is a rural hotel in a carefully restored nineteenth-century house in the Agaete Valley, in the north-west of Gran Canaria. The red manor and its large estate gardens of native flora have been cared for and improved by the Manrique de Lara family over several generations. Each room has its own personality, from traditionally furnished rooms with antique pieces to suites with more modern decoration that keep their rural charm. Guests can relax by the swimming pool among the orange trees, with views of the valley's mountains, and pets are welcome on the 2.5 kilometres of grounds. The surroundings offer hiking and cycling routes, scuba diving, beaches and mountain landscapes, as well as museums, local markets and the natural pools of Agaete. It suits travellers looking for history, nature and calm in one of the greenest corners of the island.
