Cala'n Bosch
Cala'n Bosch, also spelled Cala en Bosc, is one of Menorca's most popular family resort areas, situated on the island's south-western tip just a short drive from Ciutadella and centred around a modern marina that gives the area its distinctive character. The marina, lined with restaurants, ice cream parlours, and boutique shops, is the social heart of the resort and a favourite spot for evening strolls as families watch yachts glide in and out of the harbour while children play along the waterfront. The main beach stretches along a wide arc of golden sand shelving gently into shallow, calm waters — ideal conditions for young swimmers and paddlers, making it consistently rated among Menorca's best family beaches. The neighbouring resort of Son Xoriguer is seamlessly connected by a coastal promenade, effectively doubling the available beach, dining, and entertainment options for visitors staying in either area. Los Delfines, a quieter residential enclave within the wider Cala'n Bosch area, offers a more peaceful alternative with its own rocky coves and relaxed atmosphere. The Aquapark, located between Cala'n Bosch and Los Delfines, is one of Menorca's top family attractions, with water slides, wave pools, and splash areas providing a full day of entertainment. Boat excursions depart regularly from the marina, offering trips along the southern coast to hidden coves, snorkelling spots, and sunset cruises that reveal Menorca's dramatic limestone cliffs from the sea. The resort's dining scene ranges from casual beachside chiringuitos to the marina's more upscale restaurants serving fresh lobster, grilled fish, and traditional Menorcan rice dishes. Regular bus services connect Cala'n Bosch to Ciutadella in around fifteen minutes, making it easy to combine a beach holiday with evenings exploring the historic capital's atmospheric harbour and old town. The surrounding area offers excellent walking along the Cami de Cavalls coastal path, with routes leading east to the pristine coves of Son Saura and west toward Ciutadella's dramatic headlands.
